making. congratulations to houston. but we're going to move on to another city trying to recover from a tragedy. new york city still reeling from the deadly truck attack. >> it could lead to the death penalty. the 29-year-old from uzbekistan rolled into the courtroom in a wheelchair to hear federal charges against him after telling investigators that he felt good about what he had done. he wanted to hang an isis flag in his hospital room. he is accused of driving down a bike path in a pickup truck killing eight and wounding 12 others. >> he rented a truck last week to practice and chose halloween because he thought the streets would be more crowded. he wanted to kill as many as possible. >> reporter: inside that horror following that deadly truck attack. a school bus brought to a stand still in the middle of the road. >> can you call 911? oh, my god!

two trump campaign officials are returning to court today. they have been confined to their homes after being charged in connection with the russian investigation. they want their bonds reduced. manaforts is $10 million. gates' is $5 million. and republicans are vowing to keep this morning's new self-imposed deadline for the tax plan. meanwhile, rules affecting yearly tax-free contributions to 401(k)s aren't set yet either. they want to cut the amount from 90% to $2400. break news from north of denver. police in thornton, colorado say someone opened fire on a group of people inside the walmart, sending many shoppers just running for cover. police were able to evacuate customers who had been hiding inside the store. so far no arrests have

inside a building known as the troll factory. hundreds of internet trolls are at work. security guards push us out, threatening to call the police. not far away, we meet a journalist who went undercover in 2015, working in the troll factory for about $700 a month. what was your job when you were working there? what did you guys do all day? >> reporter: she tells me she would invent fictional characters and post under their names with topics carefully selected by her bosses. she says she and some of her fellow ex-trolls shot these undercover videos inside the building shows tight security and rows of trolls typing away. this man told an independent russian television station he worked in the unit that specifically targeted america. one minute, he said, you needed to be a redneck from kentucky. and then later you had to be some kind of white d
